Grade 9 students of Chitral experienced trekking with Pakistan’s famous mountaineer Asad Memon Rashid Hussain  Grade 9 students from an school of AlKhidmat Foundation of district Chitral learned a lot from their trekking experience at Chitral Gol National Park. They likely gained valuable life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and adaptability. Additionally, being in nature and experiencing the beauty of Chitral Gol National Park firsthand might have taught them about environmental appreciation, conservation, and the importance of preserving our natural heritage. The fact that they made it to the top of the park is a testament to their determination and resilience. The experience probably boosted their confidence and self-esteem, showing them that they're capable of overcoming challenges and achieving their goals. From 18 countries, 60 climbers comprising of different teams started their adventure in early January to reach the world’s second-highest peak of the Karakorum mountainous ranges K2, located on the Pakistan-China border. K2 is 8,611 metres (28,251 feet) above sea level, it is the world’s most challenging and dangerous peak known as “Savage mountain” or “King of North”. As of yesterday on November 17, 2020, there were 54,771,888 total confirmed cases, and 1,324,249 deaths worldwide. The Americas region, according to the World Health Organization, was reported to having the maximum number of COVID-positive cases; 23,371,968 positive cases were reported. The second most-hit region by coronavirus is Europe, 15,475,400 confirmed cases were reported till yesterday. In Pakistan, 363,380 positive cases have been reported so far, 7,230 people have lost their lives and the total active cases are 30,362.
