We Need a Citizen Emergency Guide System Rashid Hussain It is over seven decades now and we are still a developing country. There are numerous countries that appeared on world map after us, have comparatively progressed rapidly. It is high time, Pakistan government authorities should work earnestly towards providing at least basic necessities to the people on top priority basis. In our country, when a citizen happens to be in an emergency situation, there is no state institution to help him out, there is no emergency telephone helpline system where one can call and take immediate guidance or assistance regarding one’s emergency situation. In our country, when a citizen is in a medical emergency, his relatives and attendants really don’t know where they must take him to; no one exactly knows what to do. From 18 countries, 60 climbers comprising of different teams started their adventure in early January to reach the world’s second-highest peak of the Karakorum mountainous ranges K2, located on the Pakistan-China border. K2 is 8,611 metres (28,251 feet) above sea level, it is the world’s most challenging and dangerous peak known as “Savage mountain” or “King of North”. Since the first failed attempts in 1987-88, only a few international climbers tried their luck to scale the peak in winter, but all attempts were unsuccessful. Add caption T he resurgence of COVID-19 in various countries has created uncertainty among the public about lockdowns, new travel restrictions, and closures of businesses. As of yesterday on November 17, 2020, there were 54,771,888 total confirmed cases, and 1,324,249 deaths worldwide. The Americas region, according to the World Health Organization, was reported to having the maximum number of COVID-positive cases; 23,371,968 positive cases were reported. The second most-hit region by coronavirus is Europe, 15,475,400 confirmed cases were reported till yesterday.
