UAE-Israel Peace Deal Rashid Hussain On last Thursday, peace deal between UAE and Israel was announced in Washington DC by US president Donald Trump. For some, it may be a surprise but the fact is that efforts for normalization of ties between two countries were being taken for some years. They were already having good working relations in business, technology, and intelligence sharing. UAE becomes the 3 rd Arab country after Egypt and Jordan to sign such agreement. On August 13, 2020, US president Donald Trump formally announced UAE-Israel Peace Agreement at the White House USA. Israel and US had issued a joint statement that according to the agreement, Israel and the UAE will share embassies and begin a new era of cooperation in the fields of education, healthcare, trade, security and tourism.
