We Need a Citizen Emergency Guide System
We Need a Citizen Emergency Guide System

It is over seven decades now and we are still a developing country. There are numerous countries that appeared on world map after us, have comparatively progressed rapidly. It is high time, Pakistan government authorities should work earnestly towards providing at least basic necessities to the people on top priority basis.
In our country, when a citizen happens to be in an emergency situation, there is no state institution to help him out, there is no emergency telephone helpline system where one can call and take immediate guidance or assistance regarding one’s emergency situation.
In our country, when a citizen is in a medical emergency, his relatives and attendants really don’t know where they must take him to; no one exactly knows what to do. Everybody around them tries to advise them for immediate evacuation as per their own experience and knowledge, this not only wastes precious time but confuses the ones who are responsible for patient's immediate evacuation.
When the patient is evacuated to a nearby government hospital, especially in small cities, the hospital staff, not only wastes time, but more pathetically the government hospitals’ duty staff, in most of the cases, don’t refer the patient to the most suitable hospital on time. Resultantly the patient’s condition deteriorates, gets irreversible and in many cases, he dies.
If our government introduces an emergency guidance system, many dying patients’ precious lives could be saved. With such a system, troubled citizens of our country will be able to avoid wasting time in shifting the patient to nearby hospitals instead of evacuating him to a right place, a hospital where the patient should be brought forthwith.
