Nowadays, the pattern of our education system is not up to the global education standards, it lags behind and mainly focuses on only the improvement of examinations. We are ignoring the basic spirit of education. The main target of education should be enabling students to gain knowledge and learn fundamental skills instead of focusing on cramming and getting good results in the examinations. Diamir Bhasha Dam Rashid Hussain On 15 July 2020, Pakistan’s 3rd biggest dam Diamir Bhasha Dam was inaugurated by Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. The dam is designed to generate 4500 Megawatt electricity and it will have the capacity to store 8 million Acre Feet of water, it is said to be the highest dam of the country with a height of 272 meters. The dam will create about 16000 jobs for local persons of the area, it will also contribute towards boosting of country’s Tourism Industry as well. It is expected that the dam construction will be completed by the end of the year 2028. The site of Pakistan’s third biggest dam Diamir Bhasha is located at Chilas city of district Diamir, Gilgit Baltistan. The plan to build this dam was formulated in the 1980s, its foundation stone was laid in 2008 but now its construction work has kicked off. UAE-Israel Peace Deal Rashid Hussain   On last Thursday, peace deal between UAE and Israel was announced in Washington DC by US president Donald Trump. For some, it may be a surprise but the fact is that efforts for normalization of ties between two countries were being taken for some years. They were already having good working relations in business, technology, and intelligence sharing. UAE becomes the 3 rd  Arab country after Egypt and Jordan to sign such agreement. On August 13, 2020, US president Donald Trump formally announced UAE-Israel Peace Agreement at the White House USA. Israel and US had issued a joint statement that according to the agreement, Israel and the UAE will share embassies and begin a new era of cooperation in the fields of education, healthcare, trade, security and tourism.
